WRESTLE STORY

Tic Toc Games - Wrestle Story is a turn-based RPG that takes place in a wrestling-obsessed world.

From 2020 to 2023, I worked as Art Director to incubate this original IP title from pitch to 20-minute demo. We debuted Wrestle Story at PAX East 2023.

  • Creating Art Design Document and developing look and feel of the game, including characters, environments, UI, combat, VFX, and cutscenes.

  • Creating, documenting, and managing 2D and 3D art pipelines.

  • Managing art team of 13 members.

  • Creating character customization system.

  • Providing feedback to art team in form of redlines & animation drawovers.

  • Collaborating with Production & Design teams to establish production schedule.

All character designs, renders, and illustrations below were created by me. All 3D art assets & scenes were modeled & textured by our 3D team, in-engine assembly and final lighting overseen by me.

UNTITLED “RAT KING & MOUSE CHEF”

Personal Project — Loose sketches and concepts for a metroidvania-style game about a little mouse, picking up his father’s chef’s knife after he is ousted by the wicked Rat King. This little mouse must venture through the vegetable kingdom to recover the pages to his father’s cookbook, unite the veggies, and restore the wilting onion King & Queen to their throne.

WORD HUNT

Tic Toc Games - Designed characters for Fortnite minigame and provided direction & feedback to 3D team.

I designed the letters below and oversaw their creation by the 3D team & implementation into Unreal game engine.

FUNKO POP! BLITZ

Tic Toc Games - Started on this project as Associate Art Director, then became Art Director of Match-3 Mobile Game “Funko Pop! Blitz” for 1 year leading up to worldwide launch in 2020.

  • Managing art eam of 20+ members, both in-house and remote

  • Overseeing 2D and 3D art pipelines.

  • Developing concepts and designs for characters, gameplay, VFX, and UI.

  • Working across disciplines to corrdinate scheduling and task management with production and design leads.

  • Assembling weekly art review presentations for shareholders.

Character animations, menu designs, and VFX overseen by me. Trolls Spider, Chest storefront, and Mega Score menu created by me.

SECOND NATURE

Personal Project - Second Nature is a 2.5D co-op platformer that became my capstone project at USC from 2016-2017.

  • Directing overall visual style of the game.

  • Managing a team of 5 artists.

  • Working with Design & Programming to create level layouts & implement art based on greyboxes.

  • Concepting characters & environments & creating final art assets.

  • Creating in-engine animation for characters, environments, and VFX.

  • Providing redlines & feedback to art team to ensure cohesive visuals.
